Meet Folake Adeyemi, a remarkable young woman whose life was transformed by our education program. Today, she’s giving back as a teacher in her own community.

Folake’s Journey

Seven years ago, Folake was on the verge of dropping out of school. Her family couldn’t afford school supplies, and she was falling behind in her classes. That’s when the Femisaliu Initiative’s education program came to her school.

“I received textbooks, a school bag, and most importantly, a mentor who believed in me,” Folake recalls. “That support changed everything.”

Academic Excellence

With consistent support and tutoring, Folake’s grades improved dramatically. She graduated as the top student in her secondary school and earned a scholarship to study Education at the University of Lagos.

Coming Full Circle

Today, Folake teaches at the same school where she once struggled. She’s now a mentor in our program, helping other students overcome the same challenges she faced.

“I’m living proof that investment in education creates a ripple effect,” she says. “Now it’s my turn to help others achieve their dreams.”
